The Birth of Game Theory

Game theory. I remember it as one of the most intriguing courses during my international relations studies.

Happy 119th birthday to economist Prof. Oskar Morgenstern who founded the mathematical field of game theory and its application to economics, in collaboration with mathematician John von Neumann, resulting in their classic: Theory of Games and Economic Behavior (1944).

For a shining example of a complex scientific theory made accessible, enjoy 3 minutes of Nobel Laureate Prof. Yisrael Robert Aumann sharing a childhood memory.
