Teaching social science and humanities topics remotely is challenging enough; How do courses in STEM requiring lab work take place these days? It's encouraging to know there are really cool online tools being developed, such as Harvard computational biologist Dr. Pardis Sabeti's Operation Outbreak (OO), a Bluetooth-based simulation platform, teaching students: how pathogens spread, the impact of interventions and generating data to inform epidemiological models and prevent future outbreaks.
